During the presentation we will discuss suspected mechanisms of action for ILE therapy and adverse effects, and will review pertinent literature and discuss several relevant cases.
This will be useful for medical staff of veterinary clinics, emergency clinics and shelters. It may also be useful for humane society workers, rescue organizations and ACOs.
Dr. Kirsten Waratuke received her undergraduate degree in Biology and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois. She became a Diplomat of the American Board of Toxicology in 2016. After working at a small-animal practice and emergency clinic in Bloomington, IL she joined the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center as a Consulting Veterinarian in Clinical Toxicology in 2006. In addition to answering calls on the APCC hotline, Dr. Waratuke also co-authors the Tox Insider, a monthly enewsletter for veterinary staff, and has published several papers and book chapters.
